LinkTown Residences
LinkTown Residences (Hougang Central Residences): around 830 new homes directly above Hougang MRT by CapitaLand Development, UOL Group and Kheng Leong, with a new mall, bus interchange and a future Cross Island Line interchange downstairs.
Hougang Central Residences: a new town centre built around the MRT
LinkTown Residences (Hougang Central Residences) is the residential part of the first major mixed-use Government Land Sales site in Hougang in over a decade. In January 2026 a consortium of CapitaLand Development, UOL Group and CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust won the 504,820 sq ft site with a S$1.5 billion bid (S$1,179 psf ppr), ahead of Sim Lian Group and a Frasers Property–Sekisui House–Lum Chang consortium.
The plan puts about 830 homes above an integrated transport and retail hub: Hougang MRT on the North-East Line, a future Cross Island Line interchange, a new bus interchange, a town plaza and a mall of around 300,000 sq ft. In short, the Hougang Central condo sits at the new heart of the town.
The project name is not yet officially confirmed; you may also see it written as “Linktown Residence”. This is an independent site, not the developers’ website.

Estimate
Between award and launch, the developers finalise the design, obtain planning approvals and prepare the showflat. Dates can shift, so treat anything marked “expected” as a guide rather than a commitment. For a fuller walk-through of each step, including what usually happens between award and preview, read our LinkTown Residences launch timeline.
A second MRT line coming:the Cross Island Line turns Hougang into an interchange, opening direct routes east and west without going through the city.
Underserved retail catchment: Hougang has about 2.8 sq ft of private retail space per resident, against a national average of 11.4 sq ft, for a population of roughly 230,000.
Proven developer formula: the same partners delivered Parktown Residence in Tampines, which sold about 87% of its 1,193 units on launch weekend, based on reported transaction data.
Connectivity
Two MRT lines, a bus interchange and the KPE
Hougang station already takes you to Serangoon, Dhoby Ghaut, Outram Park and HarbourFront on the North-East Line. When the Cross Island Line opens, the same station becomes an interchange, running east to Pasir Ris and Loyang and west to Ang Mo Kio and Bright Hill.
By car, the Kallang–Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) is nearby, with the TPE and CTE within reach. See the full location guide →
Lifestyle
Heartland comfort, new-town convenience
Hougang is one of Singapore’s most established estates, with hawker food, neighbourhood shops and an easy-going pace. Hougang Mall is about a two-minute walk away, and Waterway Point in Punggol is around 15 minutes by car.
Hougang Sports Centre, Punggol Park and Punggol Community Club are close by, and Montfort Junior School is next to the site.
Growth corridor
Near the Punggol Digital District
The 50-hectare Punggol Digital District brings JTC business parks for the digital economy, a new Singapore Institute of Technology campus and waterfront public spaces to the north-east. For residents, that means a new employment node a short drive away. How PDD could affect Hougang →

Who is the developer of LinkTown Residences?
The residential component is being developed by a joint venture of CapitaLand Development (CLD, 50%), UOL Group (40%) and Kheng Leong (10%), according to UOL's August 2026 results presentation. CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust (CICT) will develop and fully own the mall and commercial space.
How many units are there, and what is the tenure?
About 830 homes are planned on the 99-year leasehold site. Unit types are expected to range from 1-bedroom to 5-bedroom; the final unit mix will be confirmed by the developers at launch.

The site was awarded on 14 January 2026. The sales launch is currently expected in early 2027 (UOL's August 2026 results guide a 2H 2027 launch), subject to approvals, and the development is expected to complete around 2030/2031. Register your interest to be notified of preview dates.
